(www.HealthCentral.com) today announced the launch of AdSafe™, new technology that provides advertisers with a screening solution for reaching engaged and proactive health care consumers through user-generated content. AdSafe was created for The HealthCentral Network's (THCN) new social networking tool SharePost™, which enables users to post content online to share their experiences and learn from others living with specific health conditions. AdSafeTM monitors the SharePosts submitted by users on THCN's web sites and removes an advertisement from any web page that contains content that may raise legal or regulatory concerns for pharmaceutical and health marketers.

THCN recently revamped its network of more than two-dozen web sites, each targeted to specific diseases and conditions such as breast cancer, diabetes, and depression. Each site combines trusted medical information, tools and videos with guidance and insight from patients who have personal experience with each disease. AdSafe™ provides a safer environment for advertisers to join the online discussion and engage educated and active consumers with targeted information to help them have the best information as they meet with their doctors.

Advertisers subscribing to AdSafe™ provide a contact email address and a list of words and phrases, which, when found in user-generated content, enables the advertiser to decide when to enter the discussion.
